Woof

Harry is a white dog with black spots ... for a while anyway. The difference between clean and dirty becomes rather apparent as we followed Harry through his adventures in the book Harry the Dirty Dog by Gene Zion and Margaret Bloy Graham.

Our project for our dog-themed lesson was making dog-biscuit prints! Surprised faces were followed by giggles as the kids began to dip the doggy treats in paint and create dog bone abstract compositions.

The resulting colorful masterpieces!

Vocabulary: clean, dirty, dog, bath, scrubbing brush, dog biscuit, bone, paint, paper, print

Musical accompaniment: lively early works from Thelonious Monk
